About Me

Flowers saved me, twice.

Now they’re my creative outlet and my way of adding notes of stunning beauty to your biggest events.

The first time they saved me, I had run away from home.

It wasn’t until I stumbled into a job at a local flower shop that I found myself again.

I took to flower shop life immediately. When the owner realized I had a creative talent, she taught me everything she knew. I cleaned buckets, took orders, met with customers, discussed wedding and funeral arrangements, even updated computer systems and did some design.

The shop owner had a team of five loyal employees — the most unique, creative, and kind women I had ever met. They looked out for me and nurtured within me a love of flowers that quickly grew.

I moved back home with my family and stepped away from the flower world to pursue another passion of mine, helping children struggling with behavioral and intellectual delays. I got a degree in psychology and spent the next decade working in a residential facility where I could change the lives of children every day.

Then came marriage and kids and the difficult decision to leave my teaching job to be there for my growing family. After welcoming my second child in 2021, I was home a lot and feeling a bit lost.

That was when flowers saved me again.

I was at a holiday party playing a card game.

“What’s something you want to do but are afraid of?” I was asked.

“It’s my dream to open my own flower shop,” I said.

Putting it into the universe and hearing feedback from family and friends gave me the push I needed.

I started playing with flowers again, and I found myself once more.

My flower operation is small. I work out of my home in Truro, with my family around me.

It can be chaotic at times, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Flowers are my creative outlet as I watch my babies grow.

I use locally sourced flowers whenever possible, and I find so much joy being a part of my customers’ special events!
